At St Paul’s, we believe that the wearing of a school uniform helps children develop a sense of belonging and shared community. This is in line with our Christian vision and values which encourage respect and high expectations for all.
We feel that our school uniform is practical and smart, promotes a sense of pride in our school and enables children to come to school in clothing that makes them feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance.
All children who are new to school receive a school jumper or cardigan, free of charge, on arrival.
Sweatshirts, cardigans and book bags with the school logo are available from the school office.
They are also available from Mal’s School Wear, 77 Pendleton Way, Salford Shopping Centre, Tel: 07946 128554 www.malschoolwear@salford.com
School uniform can also be bought at Tesco Extra Salford, Pendleton Way, Salford, M6 5JG.
Black shoes are desirable, black trainers are acceptable.
Children should not wear jewellery to school for health and safety reasons. However, the only exception to this rule is if children have pierced ears, stud earrings and not hoops should be worn.
The school cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged possessions e.g. watches, jewellery, etc so if children are seen wearing jewellery, they will be asked to remove it and must then be responsible for keeping it safe until they can take it home.
PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD’S NAME IN ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING SO THAT WE CAN TRACE LOST PROPERTY.
This is particularly important for items which are often removed such as coats and jumpers.
