At St Paul’s, we believe that good attendance and punctuality is vital in supporting children’s attainment and attendance. If a child is not in school, they cannot be learning.
Our Learning Mentor, Miss Robinson, and office administrators, Mrs Cooney and Mrs Smyth, work hard to monitor attendance and we are looking to improve our average attendance to meet the national target of 96.4%
Doors open at 8:45am when learning begins.
We also offer a free Breakfast Club to all children which starts at 8am for parents who have to get to work.
There are a number of systems and procedures in place to support good attendance e.g.Classopoly where classes with a weekly attendance of 96% or over get to roll the dice and land on treats. You can find out more about these by reading our Attendance policy.
If your child is sick e.g. with diarrhoea or impetigo, you may need some help to decide how long to keep them off school for. Please see the Guidance on Infection Control document above produced by the Public Health Agency.
