At St Paul’s, we believe that good attendance and punctuality is vital in supporting children’s attainment and attendance.  If a child is not in school, they cannot be learning.

Our Learning Mentor, Miss Robinson, and inclusion assistant, Mrs Cooney, work hard to monitor attendance and we are looking to improve our average attendance to meet the national target of 96.4%

Doors open at 8:45am to encourage children to arrive on time before 8:55am when the bell goes.  We also offer a free Breakfast Club to all children which starts at 8am for parents who have to get to work.

There are a number of new systems and procedures in place to support good attendance e.g. the class with the best attendance each week is awarded the trophy in Celebration Assembly.  You can find out more about these by reading our Attendance policy.

If your child is sick e.g. with diarrhoea or impetigo, you may need some help to decide how long to keep them off school for.  Please see the Guidance on Infection Control document below produced by the Public Health Agency.
