At St Paul’s we believe in supporting our children to have the confidence to overcome barriers in order to achieve, to the best of their ability, whatever they aspire to.
Many children need additional support at one time or another during their time at school. We aim to identify problems early and to put in place support so that children are able to catch up with their peers as soon as possible.
We have an inclusive approach to education and are strongly committed to supporting children who have special educational needs to succeed in the classroom.
We work closely with a number of agencies including Learning Support Service, the Primary Inclusion Team, Speech and Language, Educational Psychology to ensure that children have access to a range of support for learning and behaviour needs.
Our school is also a member of the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Society pilot so we are able to refer children straight to CAMHS and we have IReach who work with us on a weekly basis to support up to four children with socio-emotional needs.
Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator is Miss Stuart,a member of the Senior Leadership Team. She is non-class based enabling her to give time and support to those children who need it.
You can contact her by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by ringing school to make an appointment – 0161 736 6871.
