First of all, can I say thank you for your support and understanding during these difficult times. We are all doing our best to keep ourselves and our families safe. It is an extreme measure to close a school but we want to ensure that we are doing all we can to avoid spreading this terrible virus.
School is now closed to all children with the exception of those who are vulnerable and children of critical workers. If you think you are classed as a critical worker, please see guidance on https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision.
If you are planning to send your child into school, it would be helpful if you could let us know in advance so that staff do not have to make any unnecessary journey. We appreciate that this is difficult due to changing shift patterns but, if possible, please ring school to let us know if your child will be in.
We appreciate that having children at home every day can be stressful, especially when they can't see their friends or go out. Therefore, we have provided some home learning packs to support you - these were sent out on Friday 20th March. We are aiming to put new ideas out on these pages weekly. There is also a link to useful online live learning lessons and websites on this page.
However, we hope that parents, especially those who work, will use this opportunity to spend quality time with their children - talking, playing, reading stories, gardening, etc as this will be most beneficial.
I hope that you and your families keep safe and well during this period. We look forward to seeing you all back in school soon as we miss the children. In the meantime, if there is anything that we can do to help, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
